In November 1996, a group of like-minded secretarial recruitment agencies joined forces to form a watershed strategic alliance which was dedicated to the creation of a vibrant, living marketplace for secretarial recruitment advertising.
They founded SAF, the Secretarial Advertising Forum (now known as the Secretarial Action Forum) with the aim of enhancing the quality of secretarial advertising for the whole industry.

Over the past 8 years there have been some notable successes which include:


• A focus and clear point of contact for all secretarial recruitment media

• A strong and united voice on advertising issues for the secretarial recruitment industry

• An effective, robust and proactive working partnership between competitors which has resulted in other benefits to the group in addition to advertising initiatives

• A joint venture with The Guardian to create Office Hours as a weekly stand- alone supplement entirely dedicated to secretarial advertising complete with thought provoking and relevant editorial . SAF selected The Guardian as its business partner of choice and has worked closely with this publication over the past 8 years to establish one of the strongest secretarial advertising destinations in the marketplace
